Ethan Nguyen is a third year undergraduate pursuing an Honors degree in Computer Science and Mathematics from Vanderbilt University. Ethan has been working with Professor Huo since August 2020. In September 2021, he published a first-author journal paper called “Circle Representation for Medical Object Detection” in IEEE Transactions on Medical Imaging. His current research interest lies within Medical Computer Vision After graduation, he plans to obtain a PhD in Computer Science and conduct research into computer vision and medical image analysis techniques.
Outside of the school and research, you can find Ethan playing trumpet in the UCB Jazz Band, volunteering at Vanderbilt Students Volunteer for Science (VSVS), or dancing at VandyBallroom.
